The Wrap - 30 June 2014So this is not supposed to be an opinion piece but I am going to raise this. Are too many football matches decided by dodgy penalties? And no I am not bitter. In the World Cup round of 16 I backed the Netherlands against Mexico (the Netherlands won with a very late penalty after a dive by the otherwise brilliant Arjen Robben). Most every modern sport has eventually overcome the anti-change lobby to let in at least some form of video review. One major criticism against doing this is that it will hold up the game resulting in a worse experience for fans. In fact the opposite has been almost always true. Fans love video reviews. It improves decision making and adds a new dimension to games. Those games exist to entertain the fans. Send any opinions to jake.list@levbet.net. ProgressWe are dealing with a few glitches but still expect to be bringing you some major world cup fixtures for the start of the competition. The good news is that because of the delay we will be delivering a more complete product at launch including leveraged betting, one click betting, substantial order personalisation options, and the ability to manage all of your open positions and profit and loss from the home screen. Further, we have almost completed our version 2 user interface so that we can soon move from our current Bloomberg-esque platform to what we consider to be the most intuitive betting software on the market. ![]() ![]() ![]() Remember to check out product information at university.levbet.net. The week coming upI am going to skip over the analytics this week as we are really concentrating on the software at the moment but please feel free to take some inspiration for betting ideas from previous editions of the Wrap at news.levbet.net. What I can promise you is a new video demo to whet the appetite which I will release in a couple of days. It almost goes without saying but it is a huge week in betting with both the World Cup and Wimbledon entering the serious end of their tournaments. It most definitely does not stop there as we have one of the best odds trading events of the year, the 2014 Tour de France, starting July 5. And did you know that…Spain’s early exit from the World Cup cost their economy around £480 Million in GDP. Happy punting, LevBet team |
